02.11.06 - Promotion for Three Key Employees
 To take effect as 1st November are the following appointments:
Sandra Ross (Inverness Office) is promoted from Associate to Partner. Sandra joined Ritsons in 1990 and trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant in our Nairn office, Sandra moved to the Inverness office in 2002 and an area of specialism is taxation, she is a Chartered Tax Advisor and a member of the Institute of Taxation. She is married to a local farmer and livestock haulier and has three children. Sandra is also an advisor with Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) at Charleston Academy, Inverness.
 Also in the Inverness office, Daniel Palombo is appointed as Associate. Daniel, 30, studied for an MA Hons. in Accountancy at Aberdeen University. He joined Stuart and Munro in 1998, and after their merger with Ritsons qualified in 2002 as a Chartered Accountant.. His areas of expertise include preparation of small/medium size company accounts and audit, charity accounting and auditing and corporation tax. Daniel lives in Inverness and includes amongst his leisure activities playing shinty for the city, skiing, football and golf.
 In our Forres office James Brash, recently appointed manager there, is also promoted to Associate. James, 30, qualified with BA Hons, in Accountancy and Finance from Robert Gordon’s University, Aberdeen and then qualified Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001. He joined Ritsons CA at our Elgin office in 2003 and was promoted the following year to Business Services Manager. He became Manager of our Forres office in October 2006. James has a particular area of expertise in sole traders, partnerships and Owner Managed Limited companies. He lives in Elgin, married to Wendy and they have an 18 month old daughter Abby. He lists amongst his leisure activities a keen interest in motor sport- so much so he is currently building a kit car.

11.10.06 - A New Manager for Forres
Ritsons, one of the leading Chartered Accountancy firms in the North of Scotland with offices from Inverness through to Buckie, have strengthened their Forres team with the appointment of James Brash to manage the office there. James, 30, qualified with BA Hons, in Accountancy and Finance from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen and then in October 2001 qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He joined Ritsons CA at their Elgin office in 2003 and was promoted the following year to Business Services Manager.
James has a width of experience in general accountancy practise with particular areas of expertise in sole traders, partnerships and Owner Managed Limited Companies. He seeks to deploy his strong client relation skills both with the existing clientele of the Forres office but also in growing the portfolio of businesses benefiting from the excellence of Ritsons CA services. Said John Yeoman, managing Partner of Ritsons "James is an excellent choice to spearhead our Forres office. He will undoubtedly focus and strengthen the whole team effort there."
James is married to Wendy and has an 18 month old daughter, Abby. He lives in Elgin, and lists among his leisure activities as being a great motor sport enthusiast so much so he is currently building a kit car.
